A traditional hotel built on the basis of an old travel inn. It offers comfortable rooms and enjoyable extras such as a relaxing parlour where complimentary sauna and sunbeds are available to guests. Use of a gym is also possible through the hotels agreement with a local leisure centre.
The rooms are spacious and cosily decorated in a country Scandinavian style. All have parquet flooring, warm coloured walls and a rich use of textiles. The bathroooms are smartly desgined and offer a shower only. There are also separate rooms specially tailored for female guests, which include footbaths, make-up pads and a canopy above the bed.
A varied breakfast buffet is served each morning in the hotels Sofia restaurant. Located in the oldest part of the hotel, dating from 1815, the restaurant provides a cosy environment in which to dine. It offers a varied evening menu with dishes typical of the Varmland region of Sweden as well as foreign specialities.
A modern glass constructed lobby adjoins the older brick built building containing the rooms.
